Jazzercise

I tried Jazzercise (again) on Sunday with my friend Janelle. I would like to give a shout out to Janelle, she is awesome and always willing to try something new with me. Thanks for going with me!
In my early 20's (back in the day when you wore a thong for a leotard!)  I Jazzercise'd all the time and loved it. Fun music and a great workout!!. I even thought it would be great to become an instructor, but never did it. Wish I had now. Fast forward 20ish years and its still fun and a great workout, but  HOLY SMOKES I am WAY out of shape.  Luckily I didn't fall flat on my face and made it through the whole class without stopping. The ladies were really nice. They offer a weekend rate, so I think I will sign up for that since they don't offer many classes during the week that would accommodate working 8am-5pm people. Hopefully they will add more evening classes in the future so i can go during the week.

New Vision Dance Recital

Mackenzie had her dance recital's this week and they were awesome, best recital to date. All of the girls performed great. It is really hard to pick a favorite routine. We will miss New Vision, but Mackenzie wanted to try some different classes including Acrobatics. We found a studio closer to the house and have met some of the staff and they seem like a great studio, so it will make the transition easier.

Here are some pictures from this last week.

Electric Run (walk for me)

I signed up for the Electric Run (me walking)  with my friend Janelle, Can't wait and it looks so fun! Mac would like to come , so  I'm thinking I will get it for her as a  birthday present.  She would love all the lights.  Lots of fun runs and walks around town,  Color Run, Color me Rad. Oh this one looks fun http://www.bubblerun.com/. It would cost an arm and leg to sign up for all of them, especially since Mac is interested in going , so I  will have to chose wisely.

Mac's B-day Party

Happy "Almost" Birthday Mac, she will be the big 10 in July.  We had the party at the infamous Skate World.  You haven't lived until you have been to a Skate World birthday party! Ha, all joking aside its really affordable compared to other outside vendors. I decided to have it early this year so she could invite her classmates. Summer gets busy for everyone and I don't know all her classmates mom's so this was an easy solution and it worked out so well, we might have her b-day party early every year.
Here's some more pictures of her special day

Hint: if you ever decide to have your kids party at Skate World, bring extra food! I brought fruit but wish I would have brought more snacks, the hot dogs don't cut it and the kids were starving.

Camp Yamhill

Camp Yamhill is a fun place for the girl scouts, Mac has been going their since she was in 1st grade. I didn't go this year, but will be going next year.  This was the first year the 4th grader's got to do the zip line and it was a bit hit.  They all loved it.

Boy that looks really high!! I'm not sure I would climb up that.
Getting ready, she's just a little nervous (so she says)
Going fast down the line!!!

Way to go Mac, I'm so proud of my baby girl.

Sister's

Mac has really gotten into Girl Scouts the last year, she is really motivated to earn badges and do extra work.  She had a great cookie season which is helping her go to an overnight GS camp this year.

Kayla and her were hanging out one day and the girls decided to do their make up, better yet "Kayla can you teach Mac how to put makeup and how to do her hair"

Girl Scouts has a WHOLE range of badges that can be earned, from camping, first aid, robotics to crafts, arts and yes cosmetically.  So don't think its about all about makeup and hair.

She has a couple more tasks to complete before I can get her the badge, but they had fun.

Thank you Kayla for being a teacher

Jumping on the band wagon

I have always been interested in blogging, but never felt the need too. I wish now I would of when Mackenzie was little. Sure, I have tons of scrapbooks but its so easy to jump on the blog and look down the line and different things our families have done over the years. So, my hope is to start now (even though I have tried a couple times before) It's kinda like dieting or exercising for me, start strong for awhile but then stop.  My other goal is to take more pictures, I use to take pictures of everything. It was overkill, but I was happy when it came time to scrapbook , I had lots to choose from.

So, now I have 3 goals (along with lots more)
1. Blog
2. Take more pictures
3.  get caught up scrapbooking

I have many more goals,  I'm starting with the fun ones.
